The Catalyst for Change (CFC) Program is a 10-week journey to kickstart your ideas as a project, meet like-minded youths, and create impactful solutions together. With structured guidance, you’ll build strong foundations for your team and ideas, taking them from 0 to 0.5 while experiencing the process of making a difference.

Core Activity: Work Together – Hackathon (Physical session)

Core Activity: Self-Pitch + Team Formation & Submission (Online)
Phase 2: Problem-Solution Fit
Week 4 (26 Feb, Wednesday, 7:30 PM – 10 PM)
Core Activity: Design Thinking Workshop (Online)
Week 5 (3 – 9 Mar)
Core Activity: Mentorship (Online)
Week 6 (10 – 16 Mar)
Core Activity: 2nd Mentorship on Problem and Solution (No session, asynchronous feedback)
Deliverables: Submission of refined problem and solution with mentor feedback
Phase 3: Validation — Validate hypotheses and assumptions
Week 7 (22 Mar, Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM)
Core Activity: Validate hypotheses and assumptions (TBC Physical or Online)

Phase 4: Actions — Taking action and preparing for the final pitch

Core Activity: SIC National Demo Day 2025 (Physical showcase)
Participants: Pitching together with top teams from NUS SIC, SMU SIC and SIT SIC.

When does the program start and end?
The program starts on 8 February and ends on 3 May.
What is the application deadline?
The deadline to submit is 2 February 2025.
How much does the program cost?
The program is free for all participants.
Do I need a team to apply?
No, you do not need a team. Everyone registers as an individual at the start.

What is the minimum attendance requirement?
A minimum of 75% attendance is required for certification.
What kind of support is provided?
Participants receive mentorship, workshops, access to resources, and networking opportunities. We also provide proper guidance to select compatible co-founders, help in starting a startup as a project, and offer insights on how to go from 0 to 0.5.
What are the selection criteria?
We do not have any strict selection criteria at the beginning. We welcome all youths with a passion to do good and an interest in entrepreneurship to join us.
Do participants need to commit full-time?
The program is designed in consideration that participants have external commitments like school or work. Hence, the commitment level is lower compared to other programs, and you can continue your current engagements as long as you can dedicate time to the program.
How will my project be evaluated?
Projects are evaluated based on innovativeness, impact, feasibility, and execution.
